Face a Face eyewear is bold, colorful...and most importantly – fun to wear! Eyewear is one of the most personal and revealing accessories we wear. When I help clients choose eyewear, I think of that person as a song. A song with rich lyrics and a delightfully unique tempo, ready to be heard – eyewear allows us to share each person's song with the world.
In Choosing The Best Eye Doctor: Part 1, we discussed the two types of doctors who provide eye care – optometrists and ophthalmologists. Within both optometry and ophthalmology there are primary care providers and those who specialize within a certain aspect of eye care. Beyond that, certain doctor enjoy seeing certain types of patients. Different people have different visual needs and those visual needs should influence who you see for your eye care.
Have you ever been told by a doctor that you are not a candidate for contact lenses? Have you tried contact lenses and experienced nothing but uncomfortable, blurry vision? Well instead of telling you that 'contact lenses won't work', the better answer may have been 'the contact lenses I fit won't work'. We see patients all of the time who fail to see clearly out of their standard contact lenses (or in some cases fail to see out of their glasses) and walk about seeing 20/20 through their new contact lenses.
