Selecting the Right Lens
With eye glasses, your first decision involves the material in which your new lenses made. When appearance and comfort are important, you may want lenses made in high-index plastic. If active sports or work play a role in your lifestyle, or if the lenses are for a child - you'll want to choose polycarbonate lenses. You also may want to consider lenses that automatically darken in sunlight.
There are more choices than ever with contact lenses today. You can choose from gas permeable lenses, convenient extended wear and disposable soft lenses, daily wear soft lenses and tinted lenses to enhance or change your eye color. There are even special contact lenses for individuals with keratoconus, astigmatism or those needing bifocal contacts. Current technology makes contact lenses a reality for people who thought they could never wear them.
