Vision therapy is a blend of medical, developmental and behavioral therapies. 

Vision therapy is a treatment program used to develop, restore, or ehance visual fuction and performance.  Vision therapy programs require the supervision of a developmental optometrist and are individualized to meet the needs of each patient.

The vision therapists at HELP Learning Center are occupational therapists who have completed additional, highly specialized vision rehabilitation training.  Our patients benefit from receiving therapy with a board certified, licensed occupational therapist who has chosen to expand their training and expertise into the field of vision rehabilitation.

Vision therapy is conducted in-office in a one-to-one environment.  At HELP Learning Center, each session is one-on-one with our vision therapist and specifically designed to meet the individual treatment goals and objectives of that particular patient. 

Many specialized procedures and equipment are used in vision therapy treatment programs and customized to each patient's specific diagnosis.  The goal of vision therapy is to automatize normative function, not to strengthen eye muscles.

Vision therapy is a complete program of habilitative and rehabilitative therapeutic vision care.
