HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU
HAVE AN EYE EXAM?

Everyone needs regular eye checkups. A routine eye test may reveal a vision problem that is correctable or an eye disease that is treatable if caught soon enough. The American Optometric Association recommends regular eye exams:


Patient Age Low Risk High Risk
Infants/Toddlers by 6 mo. As recommended
Pre-School (2-5 years) 3 and 5 yrs. As recommended
School Age (6-19 years) Annually As recommended
Adult Annually As recommended
