This process also enables Serengeti to create its exclusive lens hues. The Drivers lens enhances colors and contrast while on the road. Perfect for bright light conditions, the 555nm lens manages yellow and green light transmisisons to cool and relax the eyes.

Advanced Polarized Surface Technology
Moving well beyond the laminate process most manufacturers use, Serengeti engineers developed exclusive Advanced Polarized Surface Technology, which works by infusing technology into the lens on a microscopic level, so polarization properties are embedded onto the surface and won't delaminate or wear off.
Every Polar PhD lens incorporates three technologies that control the way light interacts with the lens. Photochromic properties allow the lens to instantly adapt to changing light conditions, while Spectral Control manages specific colors in the light spectrum for the utmost definition, contrast and color enhancement. And polarization minimizes surface glare on the road and elsewhre to reduce eye fatigue.

The Polar PhD lens is built with NXT technology and made from Trivex material, which is 75% lighter than glass and 10% lilghter than polycarbonate - all while providing stunning visual acuity and the utmost UVA/UVB protection.
