This season MYKITA, the Berlin-based luxury eyewear brand, which is described by the press as "a mix of industrial design with poetic elegance", celebrates its 5th anniversary with a  Platinum limited edition.  All MYKITA eyewear feature the characteristic patented screwless hinge system.  MYKITA has won many prestigious awards such as Silmo D'or, Reddot, IF Product and Design Preis.

A constant search for intelligent technical solutions, the creative use of modern materials and a wealth of experience in eyewear design are the defining factors behind the spirit of MYKITA’s collections.

MYKITA was founded in 2003 by Harald Gottschling, Daniel Haffmans, Philip Haffmans and Moritz Krueger. What to some may sound like an Asian-style name was in fact inspired by the firm’s first premises – a former day-care centre for children in East Germany abbreviated to “Kita”.

All frames are handmade at MYKITA’s own workshop in the heart of Berlin, Germany.
